A Davenport toddler is in serious but stable condition after she was hit by a car while trying to get ice cream. The accident happened on Tuesday night in 700 block of West 14th Street.

Darriae Hopson, 2, was crossing the street to meet the ice cream truck when an SUV hit her, according to police.

The SUV was driven by Charleston Walker, 18, of Davenport, police said. At the time of the accident Walker was driving on a suspended license and had no car insurance.
